Recently, Qingyan, an full-life cycle inspection platform for intelligent electric vehicle, has accurately completed tens of millions of RMB in Series A financing, which was jointly led by Baidu Ventures and Xiaomiao Langcheng, followed by Qiji Innovation and Jingfu Assets. This round of financing will be used for forward-looking technology research and development, production capacity enhancement and new business market layout.

Liu Shui, executive director of BV Baidu Ventures, talked about investing in Qingyan Precision: "Qingyan Precision is based on the deep technical foundation of Suzhou Automotive Research Institute of Tsinghua University, and has accumulated ‘basic layer + platform layer + application layer' innovation capabilities. Oriented towards the electrified, intelligent and fast-growing large market of vehicles, it provides the integrated software and hardware, full-lifecycle-oriented testing equipment to offer customers with complex problem-solving capabilities based on scenario libraries, fill the gaps in the smart car industry chain with a unique value. The core team led by Dong Han is young, innovative and pragmatic, who will continue to iterate products, and is full of expectations for the precise future development of Qingyan. "

Qingyan Precision, which is mainly incubated by the Suzhou Automotive Research Institute of Tsinghua University, is committed to building a leading domestic intelligent electric vehicle full life cycle inspection platform. Since its establishment in June 2018, it has quickly been favored by the capital market. It has received millions of yuan in Angel financing, led by China Ting Capital and followed by Booz Investment. At the end of 2019, the Pre-A round of financing of tens of millions of RMB was completed. Hubei Qingyan Capital and Chongqing Qingyan Capital jointly led the investment, Qingyuan ASRock followed up, and the old shareholder China Ting Capital pursued the investment. It is reported that in the A round, Dezai Hochuang Service acted as the exclusive financial advisor for financing.

At present, China's automobile market has entered a new stage of high-quality development from rapid growth. Regardless of whether the government, car companies, consumers or the capital market, more and more attention is focused on smart electric vehicles. According to the "New Energy Automobile Industry Development Plan (2021-2035)" issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, by 2025, the sales of new energy vehicles and new vehicles will account for about 25%, and the sales of intelligent connected vehicles will account for 30%. With the general trend of vehicle electrification, connectivity, and intelligence, it is conservatively estimated that there is still a 10-fold increase in new energy vehicles and an increase of more than 100 times in autonomous driving, which has huge potential.

At the same time, in the documents issued by the State Council at the end of 2020, it is emphasized that high-end test equipment, testing equipment and other "stuck neck" subdivisions require the industry to focus on research and give them a rapid development. The detection of smart electric vehicles will gradually become an "industry standard."

Based on big data and artificial intelligence technology, Qingyan provides the vehicle companies, component manufacturers, R&D institutions and end users with an integrated overall solutions of research and development platforms, testing equipment, and after-sales services during the entire life cycle of smart electric vehicles such as R&D, production, and after-sales. It solves the problem that the iterative optimization of products, production quality control, after-sales capacity building, and other key links are all constrained for lacking of testing technology and tools, in the automotive industry in the rapid transformation of electrification, intelligence and network connection.
